Founder and Director of Metropolitan Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine, LLC., Michael Bennett is licensed to practice Acupuncture in the state of New York and is board certified in Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (N.C.C.A.O.M.).  Michael earned his Master’s of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from the Graduate Program of Oriental Medicine at Touro College and his Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Neuroscience from Lehigh University.  He is certified in clean needle technique by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (C.C.A.O.M.).

Michael specializes in the treatment of infertility by providing experienced, medically effective, compassionate acupuncture care for his patients to help them increase their chances to conceive in conjunction with IVF/IUI or naturally. In addition to his past personal struggles with fertility with his wife, he has over ten years of successful experience in fertility acupuncture and pregnancy support. Michael is well-respected and regularly referred patients from many of the top fertility clinics in Manhattan.  Whether his patients are trying naturally or undergoing treatment with IVF, IUI, or Clomid,  Michael’s fertility expertise, gentle approach and dedication to the success of each one of his patients has made him one of the leading acupuncturists for the treatment of infertility in New York City.

Many of the fertility cases he has successfully treated with acupuncture in conjunction with Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) include: age-related infertility; unexplained infertility; poor egg quality; PCOS; immunological causes such as high NK cells; endometriosis (and the pain associated with it); chronic miscarriage and male factor infertility.  In addition to the treatment of infertility, Michael has been successful in treating a broad spectrum of health issues including, but not limited to, pain management, migraines, stress/ anxiety, PMS and addiction.
